This help article is for an old version of Direct Mail.
When you create an account or sign in, Direct Mail gives the option of "remembering" your password in your macOS keychain. If you did not choose to store your password in the keychain and you cannot remember what it is, then you will need to reset it.
On the other hand, if you did save your password in your macOS keychain, then you can use the Keychain Access app on your Mac to retrieve it:
- Open the Keychain Access application. It is located in the Applications > Utilities folder.
- In the search box located at the top-right corner of the window, type "Direct Mail Account Password".
- Select the first search result and click the "Copy" button at the bottom of the window. This will copy your Direct Mail password to the clipboard, which you can then paste into the Direct Mail sign-in window. When you click "Copy", you may be prompted to enter your macOS user account password.
If your search came up empty, it means your Direct Mail account password is not saved on your Mac. You'll need to reset your password.
