Customizing how your campaign is displayed in social media news feeds

This help article is for an old version of Direct Mail.

If your email campaign is shared on Facebook, Twitter, or other social media sites, whether by you or by one of your recipients, the default is to let the social media site choose how the campaign appears in the news feed (or Twitter feed, etc.). This means that the site will choose what image, title, and description to display. If you would rather hand-pick the image and customize the text that gets displayed, you can do so. Note that you need to make these changes before the campaign is sent, otherwise it will be too late:

  1. Select your message
  2. Choose Message > Edit Social Sharing Settings… from the menu bar at the top of the screen
  3. Select "Use custom image and text"
  4. Enter the title and description you'd like to appear
  5. Select the image you'd like to use from the list of images
