If your credit card is declined

This help article is for an old version of Direct Mail.

There are a variety of reasons your credit card can be declined. These include:

  • Card number, expiration date, security code, or zip code (postal code) was entered incorrectly
  • Insufficient funds
  • The card has expired
  • The bank has placed a hold on the card for some reason

If your card is declined, the error message you see may include an error code for reference. The error code consists of two numbers separated by a hyphen (like "300000-5055"). If you contact our support team with this code, they may be able to assist you in tracking down the specific reason your card was declined.
