This help article is for an old version of Direct Mail.
You can schedule your campaign to be sent at a later date.
Scheduling for an Unspecified Later Date
If the send date is yet to be determined, you'll want to save your campaign as a draft: Here's how:
- Select the message you want to send.
- Choose Messages > Send Message from the menu bar (or click Send in the toolbar).
- Choose Draft from the Schedule popup menu.
- Click Save.
Your campaign will be immediately uploaded to our e3 Delivery Service servers, but will not be sent until you schedule a delivery date. If you are using the Pay Per Email plan, credits for your delivery campaign will be deducted from your credit balance up front. If you later cancel delivery, those credits will be refunded back to your account.
To schedule a draft campaign for delivery, find the campaign in the Reports tab, then click the Schedule Delivery button.
Scheduling for a Specific Date
If you know what time you want your campaign to be delivered, you can schedule delivery to begin at the time of your choosing. Your computer does not need to be on, and Direct Mail does not need to be open for the delivery to begin (unless you are sending using your own email server).
- Select the message you want to send.
- Choose Messages > Send Message from the menu bar (or click Send in the toolbar).
- Choose Schedule for Later from the Schedule popup menu.
- Choose the time you want the campaign to be sent (the time zone is your current time zone).
- Click Send.
If You are Using Your Own SMTP Server
If you are sending using your own mail server, Direct Mail will prevent your computer from going to sleep while it counts down to the delivery date. Once the scheduled time has arrived, it will begin sending automatically.
